Yin Yoga targets the connective tissue of the body, where in Chinese medicine is believed to store the Meridian channels.
The meridians, at a basic level, are passageways that allow energy in the body to flow naturally. When these channels are “blocked” the body creates dysfunction, disease and many other imbalances. With Yin Yoga we’re able to clear some of these channels and open them up for free flowing energy as well as increased circulation and improved flexibility.
I received my official 200 hour yoga teacher training certification in 2014 and I’m currently in the process of completing my 500 hour certification with the Summers School of Yin Yoga.
